To improve the technology of science students in mahabubnagar district this department was established in the year 1998-99.Number of teachers’ sanctioned and present position is two. Number of technical staff is only one. Number of teachers and student ratio is 1:30.

The department of microbiology has been equipped with two laboratories, one class room and departmental library with 50 reference books. Laboratory equipments are Laminarr air flow, Autoclave, Hot-Air oven, Incubator, Centrifuge, Light microscopes and so on.

The department of microbiology has continuously encouraging its teachers and students to the proactive researchers and brings about publications. In this pursue the students are allotted study projects and faculty members are also actively involved in the research work.
