Department of Hindi:

 The College is established in 1965. First single man department Sri. Ramnivas was appointed as lecturer in Hindi. He completed his Ph.D in 1968 and left a vacant post Sri.T.Bharat singh,M.A.,B.Ed., S.R School assistant in a government High School was appointed as lecturer in Hindi on 19.10.1968. The government relived him on 2years leave during the leave period his performance and commitment to words language (Hindi) forced the management to make his services permanent. He served the department till September 1984 (16 Years) and transferred to GDC Bodhan. During his period causes of Hindi Prachar Sabha and Hindi Sahtiya Sammelan were established and so many students appeared in various exams.
Due to heavy demand and opening of new section another lecturer named Sri. Kishan Singh Shastry, Hindi Teachers from Mufeedulaman High School, Hyderabad was appointed in 1969. They both were teaching 3  periods each.
Due to transfer of Sri.T.Bharat Singh, Dr. Balakrishna lecturer from Nalgonda joined at this college. He served for 3 years i.e up to 1987, at this place Dr.Mohanjeet singh was transferred from GDC Jogipet Sri.Kishan Singh was also transferred to Medak for a Short period and came again to our college. In 1991 Sri.T.Bharat Singh again came and joined duty as Head of the Department and served till his retirement is 31.04.1992. Sri.Shastry of the Department retired in 1991. At these places Dr. CH.Chandriah and Sri.Ramakanth joined duty.
The Department was also bestowed with a towerruing personality sri.G.Krishna Rao in the year 2008. Who served the college for 4 years and transferred to GDC Siddipet the year 2012. Subsequent Sri. Vivek Kumar Dubey an another senior faculty member took the charge of the Dept. on 01.01.2013who is also a senior research fellow at the dept. of the Hindi of the esteemed central University of Hyderabad and working on the topic “ HINDI KE LALIT NIBANDHOMN MEIN SANSKRITIK CHETANA” He took his M.A. from B.H.U and perceived his M.Phil. From the University of Hyderabad with Special emphasis on “JANGAL JAHAAN SHURU HOTA HAI MEIN CHITRIT YATHARTH” Sri. Dubey also obtained NET from the UGC in the year 2011.
The Department of Hindi has acquired one more Jewl to its crown in the form of Dr. Narsimha Rao Kalyani on 22.05.2013 who is an eminent a researcher and critic in Hindi literature Sri. N.Rao took his M.A. M.Phil and Ph.D from the University of Hyderabad. His M.Phil Topic is “Arithlal nagar ke upanyason mein varg chetana ( Nachchyo bahut gopal ke vihe sandarbha mein ) and P.hD topic is “Dr. prabhakar Machve ke upanyason mein Samsamayik Yatharthbodh”  who is also NET Holder in Hindi from APCSC Hyderabad in 1993.The Govt. of AP has recognized the services of Dr.K.N.Rao by conferring best teacher award on 5 Sept. 2008. For his services rendered at intermediate level. There are 25 articles, 20 short stories, and 12 translation stories to the credit of Dr.K.N. Rao which are animated with rich language and content Dr.K.N Rao has published a book titled “DESHANTAR” with the financial aid of AP Hindi academy Hyderabad in 2011. Dr.KN.Rao has delivered Extension Lectures on various Topics at BSNL and Many other Institutions.      

The teachers of department of Hindi at MVS Govt. Arts & Science College have been making seamless Endeavors to continue the legacy of their senior by conducting special Programs like Hindi Divas and events enfolding the Hindi Literature. The department has invited eminent personalities from various corners of the country to enlighten the students and teachers on the contemporary developments.
