To improve the technology of science students in mahabubnagar district this department was established in the year 2006-07. Number of teachers sanctioned and present position is only one. Number of technical staff is also one. Number of teachers and student ratio is 1:25.

The department of Biotechnology has been equipped with one laboratory, one class room and departmental library with 30 reference books. Laboratory equipments are Laminarr air flow, Autoclave, Hot-Air oven, Incubator, Centrifuge, Light microscopes and so on.

The department of Biotechnology has continuously encouraging its teachers and students to the proactive researchers and brings about publications. In this pursue the students are allotted study projects and faculty member G.Balakrishna pursuing his research work and holds 03 International publications.
He also attended 06 National and international semiars.
